This tea cake is carefully produced by the Dianhong Group. The Dianhong Group traditionally specialises in exporting black tea. Before being acquired by Yunnan Baiyao Group in 2007, they were very dedicated to producing high-quality tea. They have their own tea gardens and collaborate with small tea factories, ensuring consistent quality. This tea cake uses tea leaves with a higher proportion of buds, resulting in a fresher and brisk taste with sweet water quality.  It is made using traditional tea leaves and methods, making it superior to terrace tea and tea cakes produced via the rolling drum roasting method commonly used for green teas.

It has been stored naturally in Hong Kong since 2006. When new, it had a strong sugarcane flavour, and after nearly 20 years of aging, it now has a plum flavour, gradually entering its prime with great potential for transformation and collecting value.
